The Back Garden

The Back Garden

from £80.00

The illustration portrays the back of the main building with a cedar tree to the left and an ash tree to the right. The raised beds were made by students from William Morris School.

Emma said: ‘When illustrating this scene, I wanted to capture how important the grounds surrounding the building are to its homely feel. The indoor and outdoor feel very much one and an extension of each other.

When I was sketching this section I came across the hens sunbathing in the raised beds looking very content. A testament to the relaxed atmosphere at Suntrap!’

‘Through documenting the beautiful wildlife and buildings that they've called home for so long I hope I can capture the magical spirit and the stories it has to tell. I feel envious of children growing up in the borough and experiencing a school trip here’.
